Madonna failed to reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent
After Charlie Green was voted off by the judges, this time the other Pinoy in the competition, Madonna Decena didn’t even make it to the top 3 in her group. She didn’t get enough votes to qualify for the finals when she sang Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All“.
Even though she sang pretty well and brought female judge Amanda to tears again, Simon exclaimed that “This is Britain’s Got Talent, not Britain’s Saddest Story“. Here’s her performance:
Whew, what a long answer.
We can’t blame her though, it was the BGT’s producers who made a big deal out of her story (see her comment here). I think this caused many people not to vote for her because she’s playing the “sympathy card”. I wonder if they made her sing that song. Mado if you’re reading this, any comments?
Anyway, it was a tough group to compete in when the best act were the gorgeous female quartet, Escala. Even though no more pinoys are left in the finals, BGT is still a fun show to follow.
